Founded in 2016, Sydney Beer Co. set out to brew a premium lager worthy of its namesake city- crisp, citrus-lifted, and carbon-lean. Sydney Lager quickly moved into more than 350 venues and major chains such as Dan Murphy’s and BWS, then began a U.S. launch late last year, positioning the brand as Australia’s answer to sessionable European mainstays.
The current push centres on scaling Sydney Lager’s export-strength formulation into Southern California and the U.K., while a “carbon-neutral brew” initiative readies the line for ESG-minded retailers. International pop-ups at surf, film, and fashion events support the expansion and keep the beer’s coastal-cool DNA front-and-centre.
We operated as an embedded brand and capital team—refining product voice, designing on-trade and retail collateral, and producing the investor deck suite that framed Sydney Lager’s global growth story. A 13-folder diligence data room and streamlined distributor and investor access.
Following its March voluntary-administration filing, Sydney Beer Co. is now in advanced negotiations with several strategic buyers and recapitalization partners, with indicative offers due before the end of Q2.
